Twilio Resolves Legacy Console Phone Number Routing Issue

Phone number home region changes temporarily unavailable in Legacy Console; API users unaffected.

Twilio has resolved a minor outage affecting customers using its Legacy Console who were unable to re-route phone numbers between the US1, AU1, and IE1 home regions. The issue has been fully remedied and the phone number feature is operating normally.

Twilio is a cloud communications platform that enables businesses to send and receive calls, text messages, and other communications through APIs and interfaces.

The outage began when Twilio customers reported errors when attempting to save phone number routing configuration changes in the Legacy Console. The company identified the issue as isolated to the Legacy Console workflow and confirmed that customers using One Console or the API directly were not impacted and could use those as workarounds. Engineering teams applied a fix during regular business hours.

We have identified the cause of the issue affecting phone number routing configuration updates in the Legacy Twilio Console. Customers using the Legacy Twilio Console may be unable to update phone number routing between home regions such as US1, IE1, and AU1, and may receive an error when saving changes. The issue is isolated to the Legacy Console workflow. Customers using One Console or the API directly are not impacted and can use those options as a workaround. Our engineering team is planning to apply a fix during regular business hours. We will provide another update once implementation begins or as more information becomes available
