Confluent reported major elevated error rates affecting its service in two AWS Middle East regions: me-south-1 and me-central-1. The incident has now been resolved.
Confluent provides managed event-streaming infrastructure built on Apache Kafka, serving enterprises that rely on real-time data processing and movement across cloud environments.
According to the company's status updates, AWS me-south-1 became completely unavailable during the incident, preventing customer access to clusters in that region. New workload provisioning was disabled in both affected regions. Confluent advised customers with workloads in me-central-1 to relocate to alternative AWS regions and directed those requiring immediate restoration to review regional failover options.
The incident is now resolved.
