OpenAI is investigating a recurring authentication issue affecting enterprise users of its new ChatGPT app. Users without Codex role-based access control (RBAC) enabled are encountering a "codex_cli_workspace_disabled" error upon login. The company has classified the incident as major impact and currently identified.

OpenAI provides AI-powered tools including ChatGPT, which is widely used by enterprises, developers, and individual users for various applications.

OpenAI initially identified the issue and advised affected users to use ChatGPT Classic as a workaround. The company released a fix and recommended users update to the latest app version.
