Snowflake Resolves Snowsight Authentication Outage

Critical incident affecting web interface access has been resolved after routine configuration change caused unexpected logouts.

Snowflake experienced a critical outage affecting Snowsight, its web-based interface, beginning at 21:47 UTC on June 30, 2026. Customers reported being unable to access Snowsight or experienced unexpected logouts. All other Snowflake features remained operational during the incident.

Snowflake is a cloud data platform used by enterprises for data warehousing, analytics, and data sharing. The service is widely relied upon by organizations across industries for managing and querying large datasets.

Snowflake identified the issue at 22:03 UTC and determined that a routine system configuration change had triggered the authentication problems. The company reverted the configuration and implemented a fix. The incident was fully resolved by 23:03 UTC. Customers who were logged out needed to log back in to Snowsight to regain access.

The outage has been resolved and Snowflake confirmed all services are functioning properly.

Customer experience: Customers hosted in the specified region may have been unable to access Snowsight or may have experienced being logged out unexpectedly. All other Snowflake features were not impacted. Workaround: While we were focused on remediation, customers who were logged out needed to log back in to Snowsight. Incident start time: 21:47 UTC June 30, 2026 Incident end time: 23:03 UTC June 30, 2026 Preliminary root cause: A routine system configuration change caused authentication issues with Snowsight. Once identified, the configuration was reverted. A root cause analysis (RCA) will be conducted and a summary will be shared on the Snowflake status page within 5 business days.
